Trauma and PTSD one day workshop

This experiential course has the following aims:

  • To know the difference between trauma and PTSD and to know the symptoms
  • To know what happens to the brain during a traumatic incident
  • To learn practical interventions when working with this client group
  • To understand issues of forgiveness
  • To know how to keep safe as a counsellor working with this client group

The course is designed for counsellors, counselling students or those working in other health care professions with this client group.  It is not suitable for anyone currently suffering from PTSD.

Outdoor Therapy 2 day workshop

This is a two day experiential workshop, which will give you the opportunity to be in nature and put your skills into practice, before ‘going live’ with clients.

The course covers the following aspects:

  • The psychology of working outdoors
  • Looking at how research backs this approach
  • How to contract for this work (you will produce your own contract)
  • How to work ethically and safely in this area
  • Ideas for carrying out the work, directly using the outdoor space creatively
  • Skills practice throughout the work
  • Time for you to reflect on your own relationship with nature

Cost:  £119

You can book one to one training on the following subjects.  The cost is £60 per hour.  For two participants it will reduce to £50 per hour
